The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and contains no advertising or tracking scripts. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to type into the inquiry form.
Who is responsible
This site is operated by the team behind Line For Capital Software, the data controller for the information described here. Contact us through the inquiry form for any question about this policy or your data.
What we collect, and why
If you submit the inquiry form, we receive the name, email address, firm, area of interest and message you enter. We use them only to answer you and to discuss licensing. We do not sell them, we do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not use them for automated decision-making or profiling.
Where the law requires a basis for processing, ours is legitimate interest: responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch.
Who else sees it
- Netlify hosts this site and receives form submissions on our behalf. As with any web host, its servers log routine technical data such as IP address, browser and requested page, for security and delivery. Netlify acts as our processor and transfers may involve the United States.
- Google Fonts serves one typeface used as a fallback on devices without
the system font. Requesting it discloses your IP address to Google. If you would
rather avoid that, blocking
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.comleaves the site fully readable in your device's own system typeface.
Nobody else receives your information. There is no third-party analytics, advertising, session recording, chat widget or accessibility overlay on this site.
Stored in your browser
If you change anything under Display options in the footer, your choice of text size, contrast and motion is saved in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and clearing your site data removes it. Nothing else is stored on your device.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept while a licensing conversation is live and for up to twenty-four months afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable form. Residents of the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area hold these rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR; residents of California hold comparable rights under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
To exercise any of these, contact us through the inquiry form. You also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with strict transport security. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No trading account credentials are ever entered on this site; the software itself keeps broker keys in the macOS Keychain on your own machine and transmits nothing to us.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and professional operators and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
